Southern Girl Grits

Any girl or guy raised in the south knows a thing or two about good grits. You want to use quick-cooking white hominy grits. I prefer the Jim Dandy brand.
4 Servings:
For the first part:
About 4 1/2 cups of water
1 Cup of grits
1 tbsp salt and pepper
1-2 tbsp butter
Cook the grits until they are done (about 5-10 minutes). Now move to the second part...
For the second part:
1/2 brick of cream cheese
1/2 -3/4 Cup heavy cream
Add the cream cheese and heavy cream until well blended and incorporated. Let the grits cook for another 10-20 minutes. Stir them, so they don't stick.
Now serve with whatever you want in your grits...I love good sliced brick cheese!
